Contemporary Jewelry
You will be taught all the possible ways in order to work a sheet of metal and give it shape, texture and dimension.
From the first course you will complete a piece of handmade jewelry of your own and in each subsequent session you will be trained in all methods of modern and traditional jewelry making.
In Kosmogonia's jewelry courses you will gain unique knowledge in contemporary jewelry.
Indicatively, some of the techniques you will learn are:
- Cutting metal using a jeweller's saw and scissors
- Metal forming and finishing
- Soldering of various types (silver alloy, solder)
- Texture creation and metal oxidation
- Manufacture of wire jewelry in combination with semi-precious stones
- Manufacture of bezels for resins (cold enamel, liquid glass)
- Cold connections (rivets)
- Making a silver ring with cabochon stone setting

COURSE INFORMATION
- Annual course with 50 two-hour meetings (100 hours) – meeting once a week.
- The cost is €100/month (24% VAT not included) and covers 4 two-hour courses.
- No previous experience is required to participate in the course.
- Classes are held in the morning or afternoon in groups of 3 people.
- All tools and materials required are provided free of charge by the School as part of the training.
- Upon completion of the course you are given a certificate of attendance.
